Egyptian photo artist and stylist based in London. With a degree in Fashion Art Direction from Polimoda.
Cairo was never just a geographical location for me, but a spirited place that fuels my documentation of it’s humans. By allowing women to claim their space through ongoing representation, I use photography as a means to not only empower voices, but also capture the messy and odd-looking reality that Egypt is to the unfamiliar eye.
The documentary style of photography ranges from the portrayal of Islam and women to the boundless humanity of Egyptian culture. In addition, due to studying Fashion at Polimoda, my work extends to editorial as well: intertwining exposure to western visual culture with my native background.
